Who should register?

His Majesty the King Commanded the grant of Kidu to Desuups who have been actively serving on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic and have no source of income.

All Desuups who were deployed for COVID-19 duty and have no source of income should register. Registration is mandatory if you want to be considered for the Kidu.

I was deployed and am unemployed / have no income but I don’t need Kidu. Do I have to register?

Yes, please register since we are collecting information on unemployed Desuups in general for future records and analysis.

Do I have to be currently deployed to be eligible for Kidu? Does my deployment duration matter?

1. No, you don’t have to be currently deployed to be eligible. As long as you were deployed between March and August 2020, you will be eligible for a one-time amount of Nu. 24,000.

   If you already received Kidu in July and/or August 2020, only the difference will be provided i.e. if the amount you received was less than Nu. 24,000.

2. If you are deployed from September 2020 onwards, you will be eligible if you serve the minimum deployment duration stipulated by the De-Suung Office. The monthly Kidu amount is not yet finalized.

How will I receive the Kidu?

Your Kidu will be transferred to your bank account – please provide the correct account number in the form. Once the Kidu has been deposited, you will receive an SMS notification – please make sure that your mobile phone number is correct.

Kidu will be transferred to your Gojay only if you do not wish to open an account – you will receive an SMS notification once the Kidu is transferred. However, we recommend that you either open a bank account or a mobile wallet (BNgul for B-Mobile users or eTeeru for TashiCell users).

Once you have opened your account, please provide the details to the De-suung Office (contact numbers provided below).

I have applied for the Druk Gyalpo’s Relief Kidu. Do I have to register?

Yes, you have to register if you were deployed. If you received Kidu which was less than Nu. 24,000 in July and August 2020, you will receive the differential amount.

I was deployed as part of the 3rd batch Southern Border Deployment and received Nu. 8000. Do I have to register?

Yes, you have to register.

I tried to register but could not log in. What should I do?

Make sure that you have entered the correct DID, CID and date of birth.
